Brothers grimm museum
in Palais Bellevue
In the Brothers Grimm Museum, it will be possible to see the newly designed permanent exhibition on the life, work and impact of the brothers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm in an area expanded to ten rooms; in the process, a large section will also be given to the works of their younger "painter brother", Ludwig Emil Grimm.
A number of previously unknown exhibits that have been newly acquired in the last few years will be presented in the exhibition for the first time. In a special display case, the authors' annotated copies of the Grimms' Fairy Tales (UNESCO World Heritage) can be seen in Palais Bellevue again.
A significant part of the stock of the Brothers Grimm Museum is devoted to the works of the painter brother Ludwig Emil Grimm, who made a name for himself as a graphic artist and etcher in the Romantic period. The museum founded by the city of Kassel and the Brothers Grimm Society is an institution with an international character.
The collections include documents on the life and work of the Brothers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, in connection with their literary, scientific and political work.
